Malaysian PM pledges reform push

Bangkok Post,26/3/2008-Malaysia's prime minister vowed yesterday to speed up economic reform after voters gave his government a wake-up call at election this month.(ya..told you before but you dont listen,..Saya Pantang di cabar).
But Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, speaking to investors, stopped short of a detailed plan or time frame, promising only a bold new agenda for the nation's needy.(here we go again, pls prepare yourself )
The government, troubled by fresh economic uncertainty, trimmed its economic growth outlook for this year to 6% or slightly lower, from an earlier of 6-6.5%.(are you sure???is it because of BN set back?)
"The result of the election was a strong message that i have not moved fast enough in pushing through with the reforms that i promised to undertake"Abdullah said in opening Investment Malaysia, the country's main annual investor conference,in Kuala Lumpur.(better late than never,so,dont sleep on your job,mr pm)
"In this second term as prime minister,i intend to implement a bold agenda for addressing the concern of people as expressed through ballot box"he added.(ok,let see what you going to do,we are watching you!!)
Abdullah promised to do more for the poor,to overhaul Malaysia's extensive subsidy system to eliminate waste and to push through further liberalisation of bond and stock markets(hmm..dont promised for sake of promise..action pls.)
The ruling coalition suffered its worst ever setback on March 8.It retained a simple majority in Federal Parliament but lost control of 5 states and Kuala Lumpur to opposition parties who campaigned on issues of curruption and racial in-equality(mr PM,if BN or UMNO still arrogant and dont listen to Rakyat.PeoplePower will remove BN to dustbin in next election,i promised.)
